lookralphsbak - January 19, 2007 08:23 PM (GMT)
http://www.bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=160Scene Kid: OMGZ!!11!! NOW I CAN SOUND LIKE MY FAVORITE BAND!!! AS I LAY DYING!!!1!! OMGZLOLWTFBBQ
eggman75 - January 19, 2007 09:45 PM (GMT)
Cool I am going to get three of them and plug them together and then my dream sound will be complete.
Or maybe not.
Themonsterlives - February 16, 2007 08:21 AM (GMT)
OHH YEAH!! Or as i would say to the kid wanting this. You can go and get a marshall or line 6 or crate or perhaps if you have the money krank or soldano or mesa amp and get more bang for your buck....Plus it isn't about trying to sound like your favorite band...it is about finding your sound...little scene kid..hehehe
Hingey - February 17, 2007 01:13 PM (GMT)
WTF???
and whats wrong with as i lay dying?

they are metalcore...
although I like some of their songs, they are one of the shitty metalcore bands...
Themonsterlives - February 17, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
Yeah my friend nick got this like worried look on his face when he heard about the pedal.....i don't blame him....metalcore is a problem in the music industry...
Hingey - February 17, 2007 11:50 PM (GMT)
As i lay dying and KSE are good, all the others just sound generic. BFMV are ace aswell but wud any1 else class em as metalcore?

Everyone does.....
pharmer4 - March 9, 2007 12:15 PM (GMT)
what;s the big deal with everyone hating different genres of metal?
meh, like what you like, and dislike whay you don't like, but base it on your ears, not on image or what other people think.

I agree for the most part. But it is gettin to the point now where some genres want to incompass fans and lay them in this group. It just ain't cool...I like fuckin iron butterfly stuff and van halen but i also like my slayer and mudvayne and shit....
lookralphsbak - March 10, 2007 02:11 AM (GMT)
and the core shit is getting so scene its not even funny. all the scene core bands sound the same... how many bands sound like as I lay dying????
Abismo - March 11, 2007 03:49 AM (GMT)
The same happens to all genres of Metal. There are countless Death and Black metal that sound exactly the same. Musicians do the same thing over and over again...
Anyway, I'd buy one of those.
ForWhomTheBellTolled - March 12, 2007 12:31 AM (GMT)
It happens to all genres of music, period. Not everyone can be unique.

exactly.
Many great bands sound like someone else.
That's not enough reason not to like someone.
FIne if you don't like some band, but you'd have other reasons, even if they are subconscious.
Themonsterlives - March 13, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
But the problem with this metalcore shit to be honest is just that the bands and everything want their fans to be their fans....the point of music is to like everything. I understand why pharmer you are saying what you are but their comes a point where you realize that all the bands that may sound the same you really think about it they don't...which is pretty cool. To find the subtle things in every bands sound.

yea right... but I actually was too lazy to hook my pedals up and the dist from my amp was sick
janez79 - June 4, 2007 01:21 PM (GMT)
guys do you have tube amplifiers or tranzistor amplifiers?

I have transtube... I wouldnt use a dist pedal with a tube amp... hahaha
janez79 - June 5, 2007 03:59 AM (GMT)
heh yea i wouldnt use a dist pedal with a tube amp either, if the amp would be engl , peavey 5150, or some mesa, marshall.
but i had peavey xxx all tube combo on a test, but i didnt buy it, and i played it with metal zone, and trust me , metal zone didn sucked, i could get the sound of megadeth, sound of metallica, sound of 80's hard rock. You cant go wrong with distortion pedals on tube amplifiers, becouse the tube amplifiers sound with dist pedals tottaly diffrent, by this i mean really good, or bad, some tube amps sound with a dist pedal bad.
The few amps i wouldnt use a dist pedal with them would be. Engl Thunder 50, Mesa boogie dual rectifier or any other mesa amp, Marshall jcm800, Vht Pitbull.

I have the peavy studio pro and I can get a metallica type tone if I have the dist of the amp and the dist pedal on at the same time... atleast it sounds like metallica tone, but whatever

yea, i get a metallica sound from the peavey + boss metal zone. And i bough the zoom multiefect g2.1u which is fantastic i have to say.
Drunk Pirate - June 6, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Why are yall so intent on getting other peoples sounds? why not make your own?
janez79 - June 6, 2007 12:42 PM (GMT)
you know, when you have an amp at home and youre testing it, you try other bands sounds, to see what the amp can do. I have kinda my own sound now, and that' s the 80 hard rock metal sound on my multiefect.
Drunk Pirate - June 8, 2007 12:03 AM (GMT)
Ive got no problem finding my own sound its just I have a problem keeping it the way it is
metallifan24 - June 12, 2007 03:10 PM (GMT)
I love experimenting with different sounds and finding something new to try out...keeps it interesting.
Seth Shadows - July 9, 2007 05:45 PM (GMT)
So I bought one.
I'd have to say, It doesn't dissapoint. I Use alot of Pedals because I use Bogner Amplification.
Hook This Up with a Danelectro Black Coffee Distortion Pedal, Turn them both on and you've got the PERFECT lead Distortion. Although, I wouldn't use this for regular playing.
I'd only use it for Soloing Turned on with The Black Coffee. and Use The Danelectro for playing.
(not to mention, the feedback is horrible even with a noise compressor)

well, if he has Bogner amps distortion pedals are good. If you have a tube amplifier and a distortion pedal, you can get a sound that will mealt your ears.
if you have a tranzistor amp, the dist. pedal will not be that efective. it will be like a bee.
Peavey xxx + metal zone , magic combination......
and, also alot of other tube amps work with GOOD distortion pedals very good.
but the best combination is
Guitar-amp-cabinet
:metal2:
Seth Shadows - July 11, 2007 04:58 PM (GMT)
Peavey Amps are good, I like the Bandit 112 and The XXX. not much else.
Not my Style.
Meh.
I'm into really crunchy Distortion anyway.
